In what’s being called one of the busiest housing markets the area has ever seen with inventory at an all-time low, Stevens Fine Homes comes to the rescue unveiling its newest neighborhood, The Knolls at Turkey Creek by Stevens Fine Homes.
“We just released 20 home sites and within days, three went under contract,” said Stevens Fine homes new-home specialist, Lauren Utz.
Tucked in away from the hustle and bustle in Rocky Point, buyers are flocking to The Knolls where they can get new construction plus a big back yard like the good old days, have water access, a boat ramp and be just minutes from Wilmington but at a much lower price point. It’s just what buyer Melissa Fillman and her family had been searching for.
“A lot of new housing developments, they come in and just clear cut everything. Here there are trees in front and behind, it’s the main reason we chose The Knolls. I can be in Wilmington in 10 minutes and we have trees!,” said Fillman.
“This specific community we jumped on more so than others because we are able to offer country style living in a coastal region. People aren’t having to sacrifice their yards and privacy in order to enjoy living on the coast,” said Utz.
Home sites are big enough to accommodate a pool says Utz, with some sites as large as a half-acre. Nick and Katie Sahli and their three boys moved from Colorado.
“We were really happy with the large lot sizes, less taxes and more lot and house for the money,” they said.
Homes at The Knolls start at $212,000 with nine different home plans to choose from, ranging from 1,592 to 3,140 square feet. The coastal craftsman style designs feature popular board and batten, shake and stone exteriors and every lot at The Knolls overlooks picturesque native wooded back drops.
I love how each house is different, this is not a cookie cutter neighborhood. There are so many choices and different features you can put on your house to give it a different look,” Fillman said.
All Knolls at Turkey Creek homebuyers have access to the Stevens Fine Homes exclusive “Create Your Home” design website, enabling buyers to easily select fixtures and paint colors from a variety of design packages put together by the designers of TEAL interior design of Raleigh.
“People really enjoy using that, it gives them a good idea of the dream home they want to build without the pressure of being in a design studio,” said Utz
Like all Stevens Fine Homes, every home in The Knolls at Turkey Creek is built to the Stevens Energy Wise guarantee using Energy Star ® appliances, 16 SEER heat pumps, R15 insulation versus the standard R13 and radiant barrier reflective roof sheathing which helps buyers keep utility bills low at less than $100 per month on average.
“We always stay ahead of the code, we’re always looking for new innovative ways to doing things smarter, better, and use a better product for our buyers,” said Starr Murry, Knolls project manager.
The Knolls at Turkey Creek has a community boat ramp, ponds, a natural scale of wooded trees, and common areas for residents to enjoy throughout. Stevens Fine Homes sales representatives are open from Monday to Saturday, 10:00am- 5:00pm, and by appointment only on Sunday.
The Sahli family closed on their Knolls home May 31, and the Fillman family starts construction on their new Knolls home this summer. They both enjoyed working with the Stevens Fine Homes sales team.
“Lauren is very on spot, very knowledgeable, she’s been a pleasure to work with during this process,” Fillman said.
