The 10 Step Building Process
What to expect when building a new home.
- Step 1: Pre-Construction Meeting
- During this meeting, you are introduced to the team who will manage the building of your home. The meeting includes an overview of Stevens commitment to building a quality home. Sales, Construction, and Service explain their roles and answer questions. You will also review documentation and visit your homesite.
- Step 2: Pre-Drywall Orientation ... Bring your camera!
- This orientation demonstrates the structural integrity, mechanical elements, and craftsmanship of your home. At this point, the home has been framed, sided, and roofed. Mechanical elements such as plumbing, electrical, and ventilation are also in place. During this time, you have the unique opportunity to review the options you have selected that are installed prior to drywall.
- Step 3: Stage 12 Meeting
- A Construction representative will walk your home to verify all selections and options are installed and correct.
- Step 4: Quality Assurance Inspection
- Our Quality Assurance representative will walk through your home with a comprehensive checklist to verify our high attention to detail, the functionality and construction of your home.
- Step 5: Homeowner Orientation
- Your Customer Relations representative will provide you with a detailed demonstration of your home systems. Also they will review with you Stevens impressive warranty manual and discuss other useful information.
- Step 6: Homeowner Sign Off
- Your Customer Relations representative will escort you through your new home and verify satisfactory completion of any minor issues identified at the Homeowner Orientation.
- Step 7: Closing
- Our Main Office will contact you about the closing process, your orientation, and any other issues
- Step 8: 2-Month Follow-up
- Within 60 days of closing, your Customer Relations representative will contact you to ensure everything is in order and ensure your home meets Stevens Quality Standards.
- Step 9: 6-Month Follow-up
- At your 6-month anniversary, your Customer Relations representative will contact you to ensure everything is in order, discuss homeowner maintenance opportunities and ensure your home still meets Stevens Quality Standards.
- Step 10: 11-Month Follow-up
- As the 1st anniversary of your home approaches, your Customer Relations representative will contact you to review your home and discuss any issues. This would be an ideal time to make a list and fax us any warranty concerns. If you're like most of our homeowners, chances are you will be pleased with your purchase.
